Our Story
Started With a Single Shelf of Books in Kolkata
In 2010, Dr. Suresh Chandra Bose — a retired IAS officer — noticed something troubling. Thousands of bright young aspirants in Bengal were spending fortunes on substandard coaching institutes and outdated books. Many were giving up on their dreams simply because they could not find reliable guidance.
He started Gyansudha Publication with a small editorial office in North Kolkata, a handful of subject experts, and a commitment: every book would be written by genuine practitioners, not ghost-writers. Every fact would be verified. Every chapter would be exam-relevant.
Word spread quickly. Students who used Gyansudha books were consistently outperforming peers who used other materials. By 2014, our titles on Indian Polity and General Knowledge had become the preferred study companions for WBCS and UPSC aspirants across Bengal.
Today, Gyansudha Publication is a full-fledged educational platform — with structured courses, a rigorous test series, and over 200 publications covering every major competitive exam in India. But our founding values have never changed.
